Information for landlords

Landlords who wish to sign up to LocAle please read below:-

Stocking a LocAle beer may help you to differentiate yourself from other local pubs, thereby gaining you new customers and increasing your beer sales. Stocking locally brewed real ale may also give your business the edge over supermarkets and off licences selling low-cost mass-market lagers.

If you wish to benefit from participation and join our CAMRA LocAle scheme you must agree to endeavour to ensure that at least one locally-brewed real ale (brewed within 30 miles of the pub) is on sale at all times and displaying the LocAle pump clip crown. Only real ale can be promoted as a CAMRA LocAle.

To receive your starter pack or further information contact:-
Ian Stamp, Pubs Officer
Email pubsofficer@norwichcamra.org.uk
Or by post at 45b Bethel Street, Norwich NR2 1NR

We will provide you with leaflets, posters, pump toppers, window stickers and beer mats to help drinkers spot a LocAle pub. We will also list you here on this website and in our quarterly newsletter Norfolk Nips & Cask Force.

You may be informally monitored by CAMRA members to ensure that a LocAle is always on and displaying the pump clip crown (or topper). We appreciate that there may be odd times when it is impossible to conform to this i.e. a bad cask or just running out for a few days – we do take this into account.

However, it soon becomes apparent if this is more a normal trend than just the odd time or two. We also monitor the quality to ensure the beers are served to an acceptable quality.
